An important and special part of AUMC’s Ministry is our Prayer Ministry. Anyone may submit a prayer request and you need not be a church member. We consider all requests important. Prayer is an important part of our spiritual well being and a commitment to God. We pray not only for help and support but we also pray for the blessings and joys we have received from God.
In Mark 11:24 Jesus said “Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.”
If you wish to submit a Prayer Request, you can submit your request by email clicking on the e-mail request form below. You do not need an email account to submit your request. Your prayer request is important to us and discretion regarding your request as private or for congregation involvement can be indicated in the email or your call to the church. You may indicate your request to the church office number.
Please indicate the urgency of your request for prayer and the Prayer Ministry Coordinator will initiate a prayer chain among members of the ministry for immediate serious nature requests.
Praise and Joy submissions are also happily accepted on the link below.

Special Request Prayers by the AUMC Prayer Ministry.
Heavenly Father,
We pray for those caught in the path of violence through no choice of their own.
For the children who do not understand why the sky is no longer safe.
For the parents who are doing everything in their power just to keep their families together one more day.
For the elderly and the vulnerable whose bodies and spirits are weary.
O God of peace, draw near.
Where there is terror, bring Your shelter.Where there is injury, bring Your healing. Where there is grief, bring Your comfort that does not run dry.
We also pray, Lord, for the hearts of leaders and decision-makers. Bend them toward wisdom. Disturb them when power overshadows compassion. Call them back to the sacred truth that every life bears Your image.
And for us, O God — far from the blasts yet not far from responsibility — do not let us grow numb. Keep our hearts tender. Stir in us the courage to pray, to give, to speak, and to work for the peace Your Son proclaimed.
Hold Your innocent children tonight, Lord. Stand between them and the violence.
And hasten the day when swords are beaten into plowshares and every family rests without fear.
We ask this in the name of the Prince of Peace, Jesus Christ.
